What is The UC Entertainment Association Conference (UCEAC)?

The UCEAC is a conference organized by ASUCD EC and UCSD's ASCE to connect UC campus programming boards with one another and help foster innovation and collaboration. Nearly every UC has a version of a campus programming board, which are designed to bring live music and entertainment to the student body. Yet each UC Campus Programming Board is organized differently, serving different student bodies with various levels of funding and student staff.

Who will be attending The UC Entertainment Association Conference (UCEAC)?

We have recieved widespread interest from nearly every UC campus, and aside from UCD and UCSD, we expect attendees from UCR and UCI. Other UCs may still send representatives, yet there will be nearly 50 students attending the first ever UCEAC. Each Campus Board will be bringing as many staff as possible, and each department (Design, Sponsorships, etc) will be able to interact with their UC counterparts and learn so much!

What activities will there be during UCEAC?

The goal of UCEAC is to learn from one another to better serve students on our own home UC campuses. We will be engaging in professional development workshops designed to fuel collaborative ideas on how to maximize student fees, retain and recruit volunteers, and successfully find artists that students enjoy.

Will there be Guest Speakers during UCEAC?

Yes, there will be multiple guest speakers from different sectors of the entertainment industry! We are fortunate to have many alumni who have gone on to work in creative agencies, booking agencies, and concert promoters. We are eager to learn more about how to break into the industry and excited to ask about different career paths!
