SUNSET FEST 2024 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

General Information

  • Where is Sunset Fest 2024?
  • Sunset Fest will be held at the UC Davis Health Stadium, located at Bob Foster Team Center, Davis, CA 95616 
  • When is Sunset Fest 2024?
  • Sunset Fest will be held on October 4th, 2024 from 6 pm - 10 pm. Doors will open at 6 pm precisely. 
  • Who is Allowed to Attend Sunset Fest?
  • Only currently enrolled UC Davis students/faculty will be able to attend.
  • What is Required for Entry?
  • A valid, physical UC Davis Aggie ID card is required for entry. No exceptions. We will not be accepting pictures of Aggie Cards, Drivers Licenses, Canvas, or Oasis. 
  • What if my Aggie ID Card picture is scuffed up or worn out?
  • Your Aggie ID picture MUST be clear enough for Aggie Host and UCD Police to identify you. You will be refused entry if the picture is too worn out that we are unable to verify your identity.
  • How do I get a new Aggie ID Card?

  • Is There Reentry?
  • Yes, however, once you exit, you will need to go through security again before you enter the stadium.
  • Where do I Enter Sunset Fest?
  • Gate 1 will be the only entrance open for attendees. 
  • Is the Whole Stadium Accessible?
  • No. There will be areas cordoned off with caution tape and/or have Aggie Host Security blocking off entry. Please be aware and listen to all Aggie Host instructions.
  • What CAN'T I bring to Sunset Fest?

  • The full list of prohibited items are:

    - Alcohol

    - Drugs/Drug Paraphernalia

    - Knives, Weapons, etc

    - Fireworks or Explosives

    - Tobacco or Vapor Products

    - Bags larger than 8" x 5"

    - Bicycles or Unicycles

    - Skateboards or Roller Skates

    - Professional Cameras (polaroid okay)

    - Video Cameras

    - Selfie Sticks, Tripods, or Monopods

    - Audio Recording Devices

    - Outside Food and Beverage

    - Hydration packs, Camel Backs, etc

    - Laser pointers

    - Chairs or Umbrellas

    - Totems, Signs, Flags, Banners, Pennants

    - Noisemakers, Amplified Sound Devices

    - Pets

    - Drones, Remote Control Aircraft

    - Radios/Walkie-Talkies
     

    Aggie Host Security and UCD Police have the right to remove you and prohibit entry if any of the above items are found on you.

  • What SHOULD I bring to Sunset Fest?

  • You MUST bring your UCD Aggie Card with you. In addition, you may bring:

    - An empty, reusable, non-glass water bottle (free water and cups at the festival)

    - A fully charged cell phone (portable charger as well)

    - Plan to get home safe

    - Earplugs (1000 given out at the event)

    - EXCITEMENT WOOOO

  • Free Water?
  • Yes, free water and cups will be given out at the festival, though we encourage you to bring an empty, non-glass, reusable water bottle
  • Will There Be Food?
  • Yes! There will be food trucks and dessert trucks which all accept Aggie Cash! There will also be a Vegan/Vegetarian option available as well.   
  • Is Food and Drink Allowed on the Field?
  • No. Only water is allowed on the field. All food and beverages must be enjoyed on the upper concourse and bleachers before you enter the field!
  • Will There be Bathrooms?
  • Yes. Bathrooms are located on the left of the Gate 1 Entry
  • Sunset Fest Merch?
  • We will be giving away shirts, tote bags, and earplugs! ! However, quantity is limited to the first 800 attendees for shirts, the first 500 for totes, and the first 500 for earplugs!


Health & Safety

  • What is being done to ensure the Sunset Fest is safe?
  • Your safety and security are ASUCDEC's top priority. The festival grounds will be a safe place for students. All attendees will be screened upon entry, including pat-downs. There will be heightened enforcement at the festival entrance to prevent intoxicated and prohibited items from entering the grounds. 
  • What happens if I show up to Sunset Fest intoxicated? 
  • To ensure the safety of Sunset Fest, students visibly intoxicated and under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be unable to enter the Sunset Fest. Students who do show up under the influence of drugs or alcohol may be subject to arrest and/or referral to the Office of Student Support and Judicial Affairs. 
  • What happens if I see something suspicious?
  • SAY SOMETHING. There will be uniformed Aggie Host Security and UCD Police throughout the grounds as well as EC Staff. 
  • What happens if I get caught trying to sneak someone in?
  • You will be refused entry and will not be allowed into the festival grounds.
